American-born guitarist/song writer, Hal Marabel started this Swedish rock band back in 1986 together with former band member and keyboardist Doc Pat Shannon. The idea was to create a music concept that mixed hard rock with melodic tendencies, combining both of their musical backgrounds. Influences were bands like Journey, Toto, Van Halen and Boston but also other music genres such as Blues and Classical music. The next musician to become part of the band was Patrik Södergren (then called Stevie Rose) followed by Bax Fehling and the original drummer Jan Andersson. Jan was replaced by Jaime Salazar shortly after the release of the debut mini-album "Young & Innocent" in 1987. The album was released on CBS (now SONY). To date, BAD HABIT have released 7 CDs, 4 singles (with videos) and a mini-album. The previous CD released was the heavier album [hear-say], released in 2005. With the new album 'Above And Beyond', set for European release at the end of January 2009 and in Japan in March - BAD HABIT are back stronger and better than ever.... staying true to their own unique brand of AOR....
